Trying Out the Pool

A couple weeks back when it was breaking 90 at 10 in the morning, we took Zoe down to the pool to cool off. When we first try to put her in, she always hikes her legs up 90 degrees so they won't hit the water. But as soon as they do, she gets very excited, smiles, splashes, and tries to walk along the steps.

Mom also takes her down during the week and Zoe has made friends with a couple Swedish girls who love her. They'll come over and try to give her their water wings and show her all kinds of tricks. Zoe thinks they're hot stuff.

Playing Around the House

These are from a few weeks back when Zoe was pulling herself up on everything and starting to get into her drawers. There is a bottle we keep in her bottom drawer that she loves to find and chew on. Her favorite game is to get in the drawer after Daddy has folded all her laundry and pitch it around the room.

Silly Girl

Zoe is quite the curious little girl these days. She loves to get into anything of Mommy and Daddy's. If a door is left open, or something is left out, her trouble radar goes crazy and she's off! Her favorites are the shoe rack in our room, the movie box, Mommy's dresser and nightstand, her dresser, and the cabinets in the our bathroom (the ones with the bleach, not the one with non-toxic stuff). We managed to get a couple pictures of her with some of Mommy's stuff.

Happy Father's Day!

For Father's Day, Zoe had lots of fun decorating Brian's gift...a glass and stone picture frame to hold a picture of her at work. It was made by a dad of two girls in Oregon (etsy is dangerous!)

Zoe loves  her daddy and enjoys playing with him in the morning while I'm at work. She gets excited and has started walking to him when he comes home in the evening, even though she claps her hands and waves goodbye when he leaves in the morning :-)

My Hand Print

Sometimes you may get discouraged
Because I am so small
And always leave my fingerprints
On the furniture and walls

But I am growing up so fast
I get bigger every day
And all these tiny hand prints
Will soon fade away

So here's a little hand print
Just so you can recall
Exactly how my fingers looked
When I was very small

To celebrate Father's Day and our 2nd Anniversary, we went to Santa Cruz on Sunday. Zoe loved the sand and water even though it was cold! It definitely was warm because Brian said it's the most he has seen me in the ocean. We had a great day and enjoyed the sunshine.

Look at that Myers tongue!

Look at me! Look at me!

Look at me now!
It's fun to have fun,
But you have to know how...

Well, someone has figured it out.

Zoe is also starting to love stuffed animals and baby dolls. She carries them around, gives them hugs, and puts them into the stroller (most of the time head down) for walks up and down the hallway. Here she is with Frankie, whom she loves to tote around.
