Zoe had her 2 month check-up today, along with her first round of vaccinations. She's tipping the scales at a dainty 11lbs 9oz and is 22.5" long. Needless to say, she takes after her mom and doesn't miss many feedings (and she'll make sure you know she's hungry). It was an all around healthy check-up for our little girl. She did get mad when they put silver nitrate on her belly button granuloma and she made sure to let us know she didn't like the needles. After all that, the car seat finally didn't seem so bad and she took a big long nap!
Over the past couple weeks, Zoe has started to smile more and more, especially in the morning, and especially (for some reason) on her changing table. I'll spend 15 minutes changing her after her morning feeding while Kate pumps playing with her on the changing table. Luckily, it hasn't rained or thunder stormed yet! She's starting to stare and follow us around with her eyes, coo and talk while she plays, hold her head up high when she's on her tummy, and she still loves her snuggles. But her favorite thing right now is to search for her fist, hold it nice and close to her face and stare at it, start to suck on it, then fling her hand away and get very mad because her fist isn't there.
After several tries over several days, we finally caught some smiles on camera...
Aunt Karen had given Zoe an Abby doll. Amanda had one as well and Aunt Karen and Uncle Tim used to take pictures of Amanda with Abby to see how she grew. I don't know if we'll be that on top of it, but we did try to get a picture.
Not so bad...
More like her cousin Catie's early treatment of dolls...
Holding her head up super high!
